@klawe Cheers Klaus, I shot a roll of 120 yesterday in beautful autumn light. Forecast is more rain coming.. Winter has begun on 1st June.

Got an expired Simple Use camera for $21 CAD, took it for a spin, and ended up with one of my best keeper-to-discard ratios from any roll. www.lomography.com/homes/theleanover/photos/26546699

@materiagrezza Another option for color negative film (C41) is to take about 10 shots in the first camera, rewind, fast forward in the second camera to frame 11 (or 10 dark exposures)...

@klawe That's a no brainer when bulk-loading canisters (which I can't since I don't have a dark room) but I'm kinda reluctant on shooting a whole 36 roll on a Sampler. But eh, just my opinion.

@lomodesbro In autumn there is the most beautiful light! Good luck with the hunt 😉 🐥

@materiagrezza The production and shipping costs for a 135 roll (12 exp.) are just as high as for a roll with 36 exp. If you develop it yourself, you get 3x10 shots on a roll.

I've been thinking of something tonight:What if lomography made "mini-35mm" films, which are basically shorter rolls with 18 shots or less, intended for more experimental cameras, or to test new ones?

@klawe thanks for hint about different screw mount parameters of Leica and FED - never knew this! Though 1/26 inch is just 3% different... I know the guy with Leica II here, will ask him to test :)

@lomodesbro Summer is here. Working on 3 swaps. Can't wait to go to the seaside (with Holga pinhole and film soups). How are you?

ATTENTION! The LomoChromome Metropolis 120 is incorrectly numbered on the back paper for the 6x9 (6x4.5) format. Instead of the digits 1-8, it then goes on to 16! Absolutely no go @lomography

@rodiongork The Leica II (Germany 1935) with the "Leitz" Elmar 5 cm f/3.5 (M39 x 1/12", USSR) was a good camera for the time. The Russian Leicas live longer.

@rodiongork An interesting article about the Pioneer 1934! Unfortunately, the Leica M39 thread (39mm x 1/26 inch) does not fit Braun, FED... (M39 × 1 mm)...

@klawe sorry, don't have article in English or Deusch, but anyway there are pictures. One of the curious features - mount M40 instead of M39. bar90cameras.ru/pioner-voomp-1934-g-284

@klawe also I'm a bit confused whether this cooperation history relates to the FED clones of Leica or to their less known rivals "Pioner", produced in 1934-37 by VOOMP/GOI (which later become LOMO)

@klawe again "wow" for this bit of curious historical information! Again something I (like most my countrymates) probably missed from Leica-FED history. Would be great to learn bit more details...
